Bible Verses about 'Don’t'
- But Jesus on hearing this answered him, “Do not fear; only believe, and she will be well.”
- Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you?
- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- And he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen; he is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
- Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
- Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- But when they saw him walking on the sea they thought it was a ghost, and cried out, for they all saw him and were terrified. But immediately he spoke to them and said, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.”
- Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.
- And he said to them, “Then are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him, since it enters not his heart but his stomach, and is expelled?” (Thus he declared all foods clean.)
- Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil.
- You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
- Get wisdom; get insight;
do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. - Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
- Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
- Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. - Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
- Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him.
- Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.
- Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. - Do not toil to acquire wealth;
be discerning enough to desist. - With my whole heart I seek you;
let me not wander from your commandments! - Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”
- Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your God;
I will strengthen you, I will help you,
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. - My son, keep your father's commandment,
and forsake not your mother's teaching. - But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
- Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.
- Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
- Judge not, that you be not judged.
- Give to everyone who begs from you, and from one who takes away your goods do not demand them back.
- Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
- Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
- Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.
- Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
- Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
- As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me;
your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! - Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame.
- My son, do not despise the Lord's discipline
or be weary of his reproof,
for the Lord reproves him whom he loves,
as a father the son in whom he delights. - And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.”
- So, if they say to you, ‘Look, he is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look, he is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
- But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
- For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.
- Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
