Done (2/3)

  • For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin.
  • I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind.
  • Who will repay each person according to his deeds.
  • “Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord God says: “None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,” ’ ” declares the Lord God.
  • But our God is in the heavens;
    He does whatever He pleases.
  • Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will.
  • Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.
  • Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted to him.
  • Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent over double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood up straight again, and began glorifying God. But the synagogue leader, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “There are six days during which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does each of you on the Sabbath not untie his ox or donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this restraint on the Sabbath day?” And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.
  • Give thanks to the Lord, call upon His name;
    Make His deeds known among the peoples.
  • And faithfulness is Yours, Lord,
    For You reward a person according to his work.
  • For if you forgive other people for their offenses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
  • Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to reward each one as his work deserves.
  • And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds.
  • Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
  • And on that day you will say,
    “Give thanks to the Lord, call on His name.
    Make known His deeds among the peoples;
    Make them remember that His name is exalted.”
  • This is the day which the Lord has made;
    Let’s rejoice and be glad in it.
  • Now all this took place so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: “Behold, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son, and they shall name Him Immanuel,” which translated means, “God with us.”
  • But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.”
  • You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by people.
  • I will give thanks to the Lord with all my heart;
    I will tell of all Your wonders.
  • Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full.
  • As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to keep many people alive.
  • “If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.”
  • Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same purpose, because the one who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
