  • Let all that you do be done in love.
  • For the word of the Lord is upright,
    and all his work is done in faithfulness.
  • Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
    let this be known in all the earth.

    I, the Lord, am first,

  • His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and trustworthy slave; you have been trustworthy in a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master.’
  • But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.
  • So God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it, because on it God rested from all the work that he had done in creation.
  • Six days shall work be done; but the seventh day is a sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work: it is a sabbath to the Lord throughout your settlements.
  • If any of you sin without knowing it, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, you have incurred guilt, and are subject to punishment.

  • But whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
  • Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: None of my words will be delayed any longer, but the word that I speak will be fulfilled, says the Lord God.
  • And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done.
  • See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone's work.

  • Whatever your task, put yourselves into it, as done for the Lord and not for your masters, since you know that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you serve the Lord Christ.
  • Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.
  • All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
  • And you will say in that day:
    Give thanks to the Lord,
    call on his name;
    make known his deeds among the nations;
    proclaim that his name is exalted.
  • This is the day that the Lord has made;
    let us rejoice and be glad in it.
  • All this took place to fulfill what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet:
    “Look, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
    and they shall name him Emmanuel,”
    which means, “God is with us.”
  • Because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen. For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind and to things that should not be done.
  • Even to your old age I am he,
    even when you turn gray I will carry you.
    I have made, and I will bear;
    I will carry and will save.
  • Then I saw that all toil and all skill in work come from one person's envy of another. This also is vanity and a chasing after wind.
  • You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.
  • I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart;
    I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.
  • Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
