- A cheerful heart is a good medicine,
but a downcast spirit dries up the bones. - While I kept silence, my body wasted away
through my groaning all day long. - Pleasant words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body. - Just as you do not know how the breath comes to the bones in the mother's womb, so you do not know the work of God, who makes everything.
- Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
It will be a healing for your flesh
and a refreshment for your body. - O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said,
“This at last is bone of my bones
and flesh of my flesh;
this one shall be called Woman,
for out of Man this one was taken.”
Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and clings to his wife, and they become one flesh. - God gives the desolate a home to live in;
he leads out the prisoners to prosperity,
but the rebellious live in a parched land.
God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God.
