- This also cometh forth from the Lord of hosts,
which is wonderful in counsel,
and excellent in working. - Excellent speech becometh not a fool:
much less do lying lips a prince. - Sing unto the Lord; for he hath done excellent things:
this is known in all the earth. - But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
- Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out:
he is excellent in power, and in judgment,
and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
- Who can find a virtuous woman?
for her price is far above rubies. - A merry heart doeth good like a medicine:
but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour.Next verse! With image
