| Now the works of the flesh are obvious: fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these. | But in your hearts sanctify Christ as Lord. Always be ready to make your defense to anyone who demands from you an accounting for the hope that is in you. | But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear. |
| Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper as his partner.” | And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” |

| Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. | That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. |
| So that by God's will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company. | That I may come to you with joy by the will of God, and may be refreshed together with you. |
| What is born of the flesh is flesh, and what is born of the Spirit is spirit. | That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. |
| Nevertheless, in your great mercies you did not make an end of them or forsake them, for you are a gracious and merciful God. | Nevertheless in Your great mercy You did not utterly consume them nor forsake them; For You are God, gracious and merciful. |
| As for those who in the present age are rich, command them not to be haughty, or to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but rather on God who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. | Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. |
| Hear my prayer, O Lord; give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness; answer me in your righteousness. | Hear my prayer, O Lord, Give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, And in Your righteousness. |
