The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds. | For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. |
This is the Lord’s message to Zerubbabel: Not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. | This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of armies. |
Blessed is the one whose offense is forgiven, whose sin is erased. | How blessed is he whose wrongdoing is forgiven, Whose sin is covered! |
Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love. | But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. |
Alleluia. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his precepts. | Praise the Lord! Blessed is a person who fears the Lord, Who greatly delights in His commandments. |
Brethren, we must always give thanks to God for you, and it is only right that we do so. For your faith grows ever more, and the love that all of you have for one another continues to increase. | We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is only fitting, because your faith is increasing abundantly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another grows ever greater. |
He is himself the sacrifice for our sins— and not only for our sins but also for the sins of the whole world. | And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. |
For it is in him that the entire fullness of deity dwells in bodily form, and you share this fullness in him who is the head of every ruler and power. | For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over every ruler and authority. |
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the company of scoffers. | Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! |
Wives, be subject to your husbands as you are to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, just as Christ is the head of the Church, the body of which he is the Savior. | Wives, subject yourselves to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. |

Many are the plans in a human mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail. | Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand. |
Indeed, who is God except the Lord? Who is the Rock besides our God? | For who is God, but the Lord? And who is a rock, except our God? |
But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. | But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. |
This is the end of my teaching. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for that is the responsibility of everyone. | The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person. |
But what I tell you is this: Do not swear at all, either by heaven, since it is God’s throne, or by earth, since that is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, since that is the city of the great King. | But I say to you, take no oath at all, neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God, nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of His feet, nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King. |

He removes every branch that does not bear fruit, and every branch that does he prunes to make it bear even more. | I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. |
