Bible Verses about 'Faith is the substance'

Faith is the assurance of what we hope for and the conviction about things that cannot be seen. Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen.
In it the righteousness of God is revealed, beginning in faith and established in faith. As it is written: “The one who is righteous will live through faith.”For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”
Welcome anyone whose faith is weak, but do not get into arguments about doubts. Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions.
In the same way, faith by itself is dead if it does not have works. In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. For we walk by faith, not by sight.
So then, faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ. So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
For you know that the testing of your faith will develop perseverance.Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.
Keep alert; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.
Thus there are three things that endure: faith, hope, and love, and the greatest of these is love. But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
For everyone born of God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith. For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.
Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your crops.Honor the Lord from your wealth, And from the first of all your produce.
The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.
The love of money is the root of all evils, and in their desire for it some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many serious wounds. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
But he is to ask with faith, without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed about by the wind. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love. For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.
And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Fight the good fight of faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your noble confession of faith in the presence of many witnesses.Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus said to him, “Go on your way! Your faith has made you well.” Immediately, he received his sight and followed him along the road. And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road.
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.We are Jews by nature and not sinners from the Gentiles; nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you? If he is not, then you have failed the test.Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test?
Therefore, while we have the opportunity, let us labor for the good of all, but especially for those members of the household of the faith. So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith. This has not come from you but from the gift of God. It does not come from works, so that no one can boast. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
But as for you, man of God, you must shun all this. Rather, pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, fortitude, and gentleness. But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
Let no one regard you with contempt because of your youth, but serve as an example to the believers in your speech and conduct, in your love, your faith, and your purity.Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.

Turn away from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord with a pure heart. Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.
