- I certainly believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - Vindicate the weak and fatherless;
Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. - The vine has dried up
And the fig tree has withered;
The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree,
All the trees of the field have dried up.
Indeed, joy has dried up
From the sons of mankind. - The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.
- “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
- Better is the little of the righteous
Than the abundance of many wicked.
For the arms of the wicked will be broken,
But the Lord sustains the righteous. - But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.”
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted. - And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.
- I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
- The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
- The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,
He who calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the face of the earth,
The Lord is His name. - I came forth from the Father and have come into the world; again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father.
- Blessed is the person who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the path of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers! - The way of the Lord is a stronghold for the upright,
But ruin to the workers of injustice. - The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. - Being diligent to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
- The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,
The world, and those who live in it. - And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.
- Who has performed and accomplished it,
Summoning the generations from the beginning?
‘I, the Lord, am the first, and with the last. I am He.’ - The face of the Lord is against evildoers,
To eliminate the memory of them from the earth. - For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
- For the eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous,
And His ears attend to their prayer,
But the face of the Lord is against evildoers. - Yours, Lord, is the greatness, the power, the glory, the victory, and the majesty, indeed everything that is in the heavens and on the earth; Yours is the dominion, Lord, and You exalt Yourself as head over all.
