- And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
- My son, pay attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
They are not to escape from your sight;
Keep them in the midst of your heart. - For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may last for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning. - My son, do not forget my teaching,
But have your heart comply with my commandments;
For length of days and years of life
And peace they will add to you. - Give us this day our daily bread.
- The one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil.
- And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
- For who is God, but the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous, so that He will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- See how great a love the Father has given us, that we would be called children of God; and in fact we are. For this reason the world does not know us: because it did not know Him.
- Do not envy a violent person,
And do not choose any of his ways.
For the devious are an abomination to the Lord;
But He is intimate with the upright. - Let Your favor, Lord, be upon us,
Just as we have waited for You. - There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every matter under heaven.
- For who is God, except the Lord?
And who is a rock, except our God? - We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
- We love, because He first loved us.
- And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.
- But Jesus said to him, “ ‘If You can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.”
- And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
- For you have been called for this purpose, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in His steps.
- And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.
- The heavens tell of the glory of God;
And their expanse declares the work of His hands.
Day to day pours forth speech,
And night to night reveals knowledge. - And heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
- So teach us to number our days,
That we may present to You a heart of wisdom. - For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I have appointed You as a light to the Gentiles,
That You may bring salvation to the end of the earth.’
