However, the gift is not like the transgression. For if the transgression of one man led to the death of the many, how much greater was the overflowing effect of the grace of God and the gift of the one man Jesus Christ that has abounded for the many. When God saw by their actions that they had turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not inflict upon them the punishment that he had threatened. Jonah 3:10	When God saw their deeds, that they turned from their evil way, then God relented of the disaster which He had declared He would bring on them.
