- In Christ
and through his blood
we have redemption
and the forgiveness of our sins.
In accord with the riches of his grace. - He has rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
- You must understand, brethren, that it is through him that forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you. All those who believe are justified from all the things from which they could not be justified by the Law of Moses.
- Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
- To him all the Prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.
- Peter answered, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”
- Let the wicked abandon their ways
and those who are evil their thoughts.
Let them return to the Lord
so that he may have mercy upon them;
and to our God,
for he is rich in forgiveness. - One who forgives a misdeed fosters friendship,
but he who divulges it separates good friends. - Rather, be kind to one another and compassionate, and forgive one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
- If you forgive others for the wrongs they have done, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
- Bear with one another, and forgive one another if anyone has reason to be offended with another. You must forgive just as the Lord has forgiven you.
- And if then my people who bear my name humble themselves and pray to me and seek my presence as they turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.
- Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.
- Then Peter came up to him and asked, “Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus answered, “I say to you, not seven times but seventy times seven.”
- No one who conceals his transgressions will prosper,
but one who confesses and renounces them will obtain mercy. - O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. - And whenever you stand in prayer, forgive whatever grievance you have against anybody, so that your Father in heaven may forgive your wrongs too.
- What god can compare with you,
the God who takes away guilt
and forgives the transgressions
of the remnant of your people?
You will not allow your anger to fester forever,
for your delight is in bestowing mercy. - If your brother should sin, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. Even if he wrongs you seven times a day, and comes back to you seven times to say, ‘I am sorry,’ you must forgive him.
- For the Lord, your God, is gracious and compassionate, and he will not turn his face away from you if you return to him.
- He is himself the sacrifice for our sins—
and not only for our sins
but also for the sins of the whole world. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I made no attempt to conceal my guilt.
I said, “I will confess my offenses to the Lord,”
and you removed the guilt of my sin. Selah - And forgive us our debts
as we forgive our debtors. - Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing.
Repent, therefore, and be converted so that your sins may be wiped away.Such godly sorrow results in repentance that leads to salvation and causes no regret, whereas worldly sorrow produces death. When Jesus heard this, he said, “Do not be afraid. Just have faith, and she will be saved.”Next verse! With image
