| The Lord is for me, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me? | The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me? |
| Remember that you were once slaves in Egypt, but the Lord your God brought you out with his strong hand and powerful arm. | Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. | Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. |
