The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.The Lord is good, an unfailing refuge in a time of distress. He takes care of those who place their trust in him.
What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, it will be enough for us.”
And walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. This is how we know what love is: he laid down his life for us, and we in turn must be prepared to lay down our lives for our brethren.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us. And may the work of our hands prosper— indeed, may the work of our hands prosper.
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Indeed, it is seldom that anyone will die for a just person, although perhaps for a good person someone might be willing to die. Thus, God proved his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.Entrust your cares to the Lord, and he will uphold you; he will never allow the righteous to waver.
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. For us there is one God, the Father, from whom all things are and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and through whom we exist.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.
