- Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares about you.
- What then can we say in response to all this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
- Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, it will be enough for us.”
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a sacrificial offering whose fragrance is pleasing to God.
- I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
- This is how we know what love is:
he laid down his life for us,
and we in turn must be prepared
to lay down our lives for our brethren. - Our temporary light afflictions are preparing for us an incomparable weight of eternal glory.
- We have come to know
and to believe in
the love that God has for us.
God is love,
and whoever abides in love
abides in God,
and God in him. - He gave himself for us in order to deliver us from all iniquity and to purify for himself a people as his own who are eager to do good.
- Indeed, it is seldom that anyone will die for a just person, although perhaps for a good person someone might be willing to die. Thus, God proved his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
- The seed sown among thorns is the one who hears the word, but worldly cares and the lure of riches choke the word and it bears no fruit.
- He did not spare his own Son but gave him up for all of us. How then can he fail also to give us everything else along with him?
- In the same way, even the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs that cannot be put into words.
- For us there is
one God, the Father,
from whom all things are
and for whom we exist,
and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
through whom all things are
and through whom we exist. - Entrust your cares to the Lord,
and he will uphold you;
he will never allow the righteous to waver. - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
- May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us.
And may the work of our hands prosper—
indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. - For you, O God, have put us to the test;
you have purified us as silver is refined. - But God is rich in his mercy, and because he had such great love for us, he brought us to life with Christ when we were already dead through sin—it is by grace that you have been saved.
- When my anxious thoughts multiplied,
your comfort filled my soul with joy. - Help us, O God, our Savior,
for the glory of your name;
deliver us and wipe away our sins
for your name’s sake. - May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us.
- The Lord is good,
an unfailing refuge in a time of distress.
He takes care of those who place their trust in him. - If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
- He made him who did not know sin to be sin for our sake, so that through him we might become the righteousness of God.
Now we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a dwelling prepared for us by God, a dwelling in the heavens, not made with human hands, that will be eternal.However, the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all
that I have said to you. Can a woman forget the infant at her breast;
or feel no compassion for the child of her womb?
Even should she forget,
I will never forget you.
Behold, I have inscribed your name
on the palms of my hands;
your walls are continually before my eyes.Next verse!With image
