- Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
- May the Lord our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He not leave us nor forsake us.
- For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Help us, O God of our salvation,
For the glory of Your name;
And deliver us, and provide atonement for our sins,
For Your name’s sake! - By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
- Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.
- For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.
- Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying:
“Whom shall I send,
And who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” - In the multitude of my anxieties within me,
Your comforts delight my soul. - Yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.
- No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.
- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
