He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. - But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.

- We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love.
God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. - I thirst for God, the living God.
When can I go and stand before him? - Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies.
Make your face shine down upon us.
Only then will we be saved. - For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time—to show us his grace through Christ Jesus.

and people all over the world will fear him. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name goes all the glory
for your unfailing love and faithfulness. - For we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands.

- For we will be counted as righteous when we obey all the commands the Lord our God has given us.

- And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
- But now Jesus, our High Priest, has been given a ministry that is far superior to the old priesthood, for he is the one who mediates for us a far better covenant with God, based on better promises.

Who but our God is a solid rock? - For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. - For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
