| Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. | Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. |
| But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. | But the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. |
| But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? | If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? |
| O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee. | I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.” |
| And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. | He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” |
| And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. | And every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |
| Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy. | Defend the weak and the fatherless; uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed. |
| To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. | To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice. |
