Giving to the need (3/4)

I am pulled in opposite directions. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better, but, it is a more urgent need for you that I remain in the body.For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
I lift up my eyes to the mountains; from where will I receive help? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
During the day the Lord grants his kindness, and at night his praise is with me, a prayer to the living God.Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
And my God will fully supply all your needs out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
He continued, “Then put away the foreign gods from among you. Bend your heart to the Lord, the God of Israel.”Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the Lord God of Israel.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord. I place my hope in God my savior; my God will hear me.Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
The future bodes well for him who is generous in helping those in need and who conducts his affairs with justice.A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles so that you may bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.
About midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns of praise to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace but a sword.Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Then, after he had spoken to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven, and there he took his place at the right hand of God.So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
And we are witnesses to these things, as is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
The wealthy man lords it over the poor, and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender.The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.
If he refuses to listen to them, report it to the Church. And if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
In my distress I called out to the Lord; he answered by setting me free.I called upon the Lord in distress: the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place.
Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer. However, the face of the Lord is set against those who do evil.For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.
But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Your almsgiving must be done in secret. And your Father who sees everything that is done in secret will reward you.But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
Then he sat down, summoned the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he must become the last of all and the servant of all.”And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the communal fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers.And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Then he took a cup, and after offering thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from this, all of you. For this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.”And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Let everything that breathes offer praise to the Lord. Alleluia.Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.
“But you,” he said to them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
I have made your name known to them, and I will make it known, so that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world is crucified to me and I to the world.But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Prepare in advance what you want to say, and return to the Lord. Say to him, “Take away all guilt and give us what is good, so that we may present as offerings the bullocks from our stalls.”Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips.
