| But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. | But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. |

| Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. | Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. |
| Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. | Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. |
| Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. | Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. |
| But the one who endures to the end will be saved. | But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. |
| For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised. | For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. |
| Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. | Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. |
| And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. | But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. |
| But when he heard it, he said, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.” | But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. |

| Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the Lord! | Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to the Lord. |
| But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
| I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. | I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. |

| Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. | Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. |
| For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: “Seek me and live.” | For thus saith the Lord unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live. |
| Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. | Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established. |
| And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. | And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. |
| And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” | And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. |

| I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father. | I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. |
