God’s (3/4)

  • For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
  • Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
  • But he answered, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
  • In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.
  • For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”
  • So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone.
  • Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
  • Do not let your adorning be external—the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear— but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
  • Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
  • For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.
  • Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
  • For I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.
  • But godliness with contentment is great gain.
  • For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
  • For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God.
  • For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
  • Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
  • I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
  • Little children, keep yourselves from idols.
  • Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
  • For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
  • Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents.
  • In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.
  • And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God, being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
