Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe. | The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. |
The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot. | The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot. |
A man’s steps are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. | The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way. |
The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth. | The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. |
Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. | Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. |
The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. | The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness. |
The father of the righteous has great joy. Whoever fathers a wise child delights in him. | The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. |
The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish. | The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish. |
Cast your burden on Yahweh and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. | Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. |
Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous. | The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. |
You who love Yahweh, hate evil! He preserves the souls of his saints. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. | Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. |
For Yahweh loves justice, and doesn’t forsake his saints. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off. | For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. |
Don’t envy the man of violence. Choose none of his ways. For the perverse is an abomination to Yahweh, but his friendship is with the upright. | Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. |

Yahweh says, “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, ‘Where is the good way?’ and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.
