Good faith (2/4)

Let love be genuine; hate what is evil, hold fast to what is good.Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.
And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is justified not by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ. And we have come to believe in Christ Jesus, so that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by doing the works of the law, because no one will be justified by the works of the law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
By faith he received power of procreation, even though he was too old—and Sarah herself was barren—because he considered him faithful who had promised.And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise.
Trust in the Lord, and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security.Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
And without faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever would approach him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.
I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.”I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing.”
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pains.For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.
Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God— not the result of works, so that no one may boast.For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path.Then you will understand what is right and just and fair—every good path.

How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
But the scripture has imprisoned all things under the power of sin, so that what was promised through faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
But test everything; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil.But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of everyone of you for one another is increasing.We ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.
The young lions suffer want and hunger, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of trouble; he protects those who take refuge in him.The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
