- For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
- Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.
- Seek good and not evil,
That you may live;
So the Lord God of hosts will be with you,
As you have spoken. - A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
Loving favor rather than silver and gold. - Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.”
- Teach me to do Your will,
For You are my God;
Your Spirit is good.
Lead me in the land of uprightness. - Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.
- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
- And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.
- A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad. - Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
- But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.
- See that no one renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for yourselves and for all.
- Learn to do good;
Seek justice,
Rebuke the oppressor;
Defend the fatherless,
Plead for the widow. - Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.
- Good and upright is the Lord;
Therefore He teaches sinners in the way.
The humble He guides in justice,
And the humble He teaches His way. - Eternal life to those who by patient continuance in doing good seek for glory, honor, and immortality.
