Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”Jesus replied, “This is the work of God: to believe in the one whom he has sent.”
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God rests upon him.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.It was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore, stand firm and refuse to submit again to the yoke of slavery.
But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?If anyone is rich in worldly possessions and sees a brother in need but refuses to open his heart, how can the love of God abide in him?
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”Do not succumb to the love of money, but be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never forsake you or abandon you.”

Then it will be righteousness for us, if we are careful to observe all these commandments before the Lord our God, as He has commanded us.If we are diligent in observing all of these commandments before the Lord, our God, as he commanded of us, then this will be our righteousness.
And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.We have come to know and to believe in the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
Go, eat your bread with joy, And drink your wine with a merry heart; For God has already accepted your works.Go forth, then. Eat your bread with joy and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God long ago approved what you do.
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, My soul shall be joyful in my God; For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.I rejoice in the Lord with all my heart; my soul exults in my God. As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.His divine power has bestowed on us everything that is necessary for life and for devotion through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue.
But I have trusted in Your mercy; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, Because He has dealt bountifully with me.As for me, I trust in your kindness; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because he has been good to me.
And it shall be, when he is guilty in any of these matters, that he shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.Therefore, when someone is guilty of any one of these things, he shall confess the sin he has committed.
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.For the Son of Man has come to seek out and to save what was lost.
For so the Lord has commanded us: ‘I have set you as a light to the Gentiles, That you should be for salvation to the ends of the earth.’For so has the Lord commanded us to do, saying, ‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles so that you may bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’
But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God.
But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.And whoever does not provide for relatives, especially for those who are living with him, has disowned the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it?Which one of you, intending to build a tower, would not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has sufficient funds for its completion?
