How does God's love abide in anyone who has the world's goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? | But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? |
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. | And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation. |
Who has performed and done this, calling the generations from the beginning? I, the Lord, am first, and will be with the last. | Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the Lord, the first, and with the last; I am he. |
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God, and keep his commandments; for that is the whole duty of everyone. | Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. |

And whoever does not provide for relatives, and especially for family members, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. | But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. |

For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not first sit down and estimate the cost, to see whether he has enough to complete it? | For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? |
So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them. | And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. |
For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. | For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. |
