| If we claim that we have fellowship with him while we continue to live in darkness, we are lying and do not live in the truth. | If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. |
| O Lord, you have examined me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I stand; you perceive my thoughts from a distance. | Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I get up; You understand my thought from far away. |
| In Christ and through his blood we have redemption and the forgiveness of our sins. In accord with the riches of his grace. | In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our wrongdoings, according to the riches of His grace. |
