| One who pays attention to the word will find good, And blessed is one who trusts in the Lord. | He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. |
| The wise of heart will receive commands, But a babbling fool will come to ruin. | The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. |

| How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word. | Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. |
| A fool rejects his father’s discipline, But he who complies with rebuke is sensible. | A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. |
| Only be very careful to follow the commandment and the Law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God and walk in all His ways, and keep His commandments and cling to Him, and serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul. | But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |

| Turn to my rebuke, Behold, I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. | Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. |
| Take care, brothers and sisters, that there will not be in any one of you an evil, unbelieving heart that falls away from the living God. | Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. |

| Through overconfidence comes nothing but strife, But wisdom is with those who receive counsel. | Only by pride cometh contention: but with the well advised is wisdom. |

| You shall not oppress any widow or orphan. If you oppress him at all, and if he does cry out to Me, I will assuredly hear his cry; and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wives shall become widows and your children fatherless. | Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. |
| “If you do not listen, and if you do not take it to heart to give honor to My name,” says the Lord of armies, “then I will send the curse upon you and I will curse your blessings; and indeed, I have cursed them already, because you are not taking it to heart.” | If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith the Lord of hosts, I will even send a curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings: yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart. |
