The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
blessed be the name of the Lord.” - And this is the testimony:
God gave us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. - You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.
- For from him and through him and for him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

For all of his works are right,

and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - Do the things that you have learned, received, and heard from me and that you saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you.
- And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told.
- Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.” - And anyone who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
- You shall serve the Lord, your God. He will bless your bread and water and take away sickness from your midst.
- For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disharmony and every type of wickedness.
- Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth, where they will be destroyed by moth and rust and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up treasure for yourselves in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves cannot break in and steal.
- Moreover, the one to whom God grants wealth and possessions and the ability to enjoy them and to find contentment in his toil receives a gift from God.
- And God said, “Let us make man in our image and likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the wild animals and reptiles that crawl upon the earth.”
- For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- And now, what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and have your sins washed away, calling on his name.
