- You who love the Lord, hate evil!
He preserves the souls of His saints;
He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. - Hatred stirs up strife,
But love covers all sins. - For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. - Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- ‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment.
- For You will light my lamp;
The Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? - For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
- Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
- Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil.
- The Lord your God in your midst,
The Mighty One, will save;
He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing. - In that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God require of you, but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the commandments of the Lord and His statutes which I command you today for your good?
- Great peace have those who love Your law,
And nothing causes them to stumble. - And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.
- Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.
- Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
- Do not withhold Your tender mercies from me, O Lord;
Let Your lovingkindness and Your truth continually preserve me. - You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
- O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.
- Save now, I pray, O Lord;
O Lord, I pray, send now prosperity.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
