If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother. |
What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before? | Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? |
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” |
And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. | If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the assembly. If he refuses to hear the assembly also, let him be to you as a Gentile or a tax collector. |
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. | But if we hope for that which we don’t see, we wait for it with patience. |
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. | Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence? If I ascend up into heaven, you are there. If I make my bed in Sheol, behold, you are there! |
For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. | For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord’s. |
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. | If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. |
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. | Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don’t go away, the Counselor won’t come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. |
It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him. | This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.” |
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? | What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? |
For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. | For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. |
If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour. | If anyone serves me, let him follow me. Where I am, there my servant will also be. If anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. |
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. | But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. |
If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. | If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. |
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? | Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?” |
By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. | By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. |
