- For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world
but in order that the world might be saved through him. - Whoever believes in him is not condemned,
but whoever does not believe in him
already stands condemned,
because he has not believed in the name
of the only-begotten Son of God. - However, whoever lives by the truth
comes to the light
so that it may be clearly seen
that his deeds have been done in God. - He must increase;
I must decrease. - Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life;
whoever does not believe in the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God rests upon him. - But whoever drinks the water that I will give him
will never be thirsty.
The water that I will give him
will become a spring of water within him
welling up to eternal life. - God is Spirit,
and those who worship him
must worship in Spirit and truth. - Do not work for food that perishes
but for the food that endures for eternal life,
which the Son of Man will give you.
For it is on him
that God the Father has set his seal. - Jesus replied,
“This is the work of God:
to believe in the one whom he has sent.” - Jesus answered them,
“I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” - I am the living bread that came down from heaven.
Whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh, for the life of the world. - Whoever feeds upon my flesh and drinks my blood
dwells in me and I dwell in him. - Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - What then if you were to behold the Son of Man
ascend to where he was before? - Jesus answered them,
“My teaching is not my own;
rather, it comes from him who sent me.” - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out,
“If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.” - Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - Jesus addressed them once again, saying,
“I am the light of the world.
The one who follows me
will never walk in darkness.
Rather, he will have the light of life.” - Then Jesus said to those Jews who did believe in him,
“If you remain faithful to my word,
you will truly be my disciples.
You will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.” - Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
everyone who sins
is a slave of sin.” - Therefore, if the Son sets you free,
you then will truly be free. - You are from your father, the devil,
and you choose to carry out your father’s desires.
He was a murderer from the beginning,
and he does not abide by the truth,
for there is no truth in him.
When he lies,
he speaks in accord with his own nature,
for he is a liar
and the father of lies. - I am the gate.
Anyone who enters through me
will be saved.
He will go in and out
and will find pasture. - A thief comes only
to steal and kill and destroy.
I have come
that they may have life,
and have it in abundance.
I give them eternal life,
and they will never perish.
No one will ever snatch them from my hand.
My Father who has given them to me
is greater than all,
and no one can snatch them
out of the Father’s hand.
I and the Father are one.He said to them in reply, “Anyone who has two coats must share with the person who has none, and whoever has food must do likewise.” Love does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices in the truth.
Love bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.Next verse!With image
