Bible Verses about 'Justice'
- Instead, I want to see a mighty flood of justice,
an endless river of righteous living. - Learn to do good.
Seek justice.
Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows. - Give justice to the poor and the orphan;
uphold the rights of the oppressed and the destitute. - He loves whatever is just and good;
the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth. - He guards the paths of the just
and protects those who are faithful to him. - The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just
than when we offer him sacrifices. - Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go. - We cannot imagine the power of the Almighty;
but even though he is just and righteous,
he does not destroy us. - For the Lord loves justice,
and he will never abandon the godly.
He will keep them safe forever,
but the children of the wicked will die. - Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless,
and see that they get justice. - God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they will be satisfied. - Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and he will help you.
He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,
and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. - So the Lord must wait for you to come to him
so he can show you his love and compassion.
For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help. - Good comes to those who lend money generously
and conduct their business fairly. - Fear the Lord and judge with integrity, for the Lord our God does not tolerate perverted justice, partiality, or the taking of bribes.
- Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves;
ensure justice for those being crushed. - Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
- The Lord is good and does what is right;
he shows the proper path to those who go astray.
He leads the humble in doing right,
teaching them his way. - No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,
and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God. - But I will be merciful only if you stop your evil thoughts and deeds and start treating each other with justice; only if you stop exploiting foreigners, orphans, and widows; only if you stop your murdering; and only if you stop harming yourselves by worshiping idols. Then I will let you stay in this land that I gave to your ancestors to keep forever.
- Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.
- He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect.
Everything he does is just and fair.
He is a faithful God who does no wrong;
how just and upright he is! - This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Judge fairly, and show mercy and kindness to one another. Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners, and the poor. And do not scheme against each other.
- Better to have little, with godliness,
than to be rich and dishonest. - God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. - But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.
- Seek the Lord, all who are humble,
and follow his commands.
Seek to do what is right
and to live humbly.
Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction. - But if wicked people turn away from all their sins and begin to obey my decrees and do what is just and right, they will surely live and not die.
- In the night I search for you;
in the morning I earnestly seek you.
For only when you come to judge the earth
will people learn what is right. - But the love of the Lord remains forever
with those who fear him.
His salvation extends to the children’s children
of those who are faithful to his covenant,
of those who obey his commandments! - I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God!
For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation
and draped me in a robe of righteousness.
I am like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding
or a bride with her jewels.
