You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God. Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. | Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. |

The wealthy man lords it over the poor, and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender. | The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. |
The way of God is blameless; the Lord’s promise has proved true. He is a shield to all who take refuge in him. | As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him. |
If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s. | For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's. |
I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look with desire upon a virgin. | I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid? |

My mouth is filled with your praises as I relate your glory all day long. | Let my mouth be filled with thy praise and with thy honour all the day. |
Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze on what lies before you. | Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. |
However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband. | Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband. |

And opens the eyes of those who cannot see. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. | The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. |
