Bible Verses about 'Law'

All those who have sinned outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law.
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin. Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart.I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable. If anyone turns a deaf ear to my instruction, even their prayers are detestable.
Those who love your law have great peace; they encounter no stumbling blocks.Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble.
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means!
Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.
For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe.Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in accord with the law of the Lord.Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the Lord.
For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace. For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.We who are Jews by birth and not sinful Gentiles know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them.Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace. You who are trying to be justified by the law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.
But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made. But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile.
Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple. The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it—not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it—they will be blessed in what they do.
