Bible Verses about 'Law'

All those who have sinned outside the Law will perish outside the Law, and all who sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law.For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law. As many as have sinned under the law will be judged by the law.
For no one can be regarded as justified in the sight of God by keeping the Law. The Law brings only the consciousness of sin.Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight; for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
What then should we say? That the Law is sinful? Absolutely not! Yet if it had not been for the Law, I would not have known what sin was. I would not have known what covet is if the Law had not said, “You shall not covet.”What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”
The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law.The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
To do your will, O God, is my delight; your law is in my heart.I delight to do your will, my God. Yes, your law is within my heart.
Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
Love cannot result in any harm to the neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfillment of the Law.Love doesn’t harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
When anyone turns a deaf ear to the law, even his prayer is detestable. He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
Those who love your law have great peace; they encounter no stumbling blocks. Those who love your law have great peace. Nothing causes them to stumble.
What then? Should we sin because we are not under the Law but under grace? Of course not! What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? May it never be!
Everyone who sins breaks the law, for sin is lawlessness.Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.
For Christ is the fulfillment of the Law for the justification of all who believe. For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Blessed are those whose way is blameless, who walk in accord with the law of the Lord.Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to Yahweh’s law.
For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace. For sin will not have dominion over you, for you are not under law, but under grace.
For the entire Law can be summed up in a single commandment: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
Hence, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners, yet we know that a man is justified not by the works of the Law but through faith in Jesus Christ. So we too came to believe in Christ Jesus so that we might be justified by faith in him and not by the works of the Law, for no one will be justified by the works of the Law.We, being Jews by nature and not Gentile sinners, yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.
Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
In everything, deal with others as you would like them to deal with you. This is the Law and the Prophets. Therefore, whatever you desire for men to do to you, you shall also do to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
I do not set aside the grace of God, for if justification comes through the Law, then Christ died for nothing.I don’t reject the grace of God. For if righteousness is through the law, then Christ died for nothing!
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill them.Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Those of you who seek to be justified by the Law have cut yourselves off from Christ and have fallen away from grace. You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace.
But now the righteousness of God that is attested by the Law and the Prophets has been manifested apart from law: the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. No distinction has been made. But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction.
Indeed, under the Law almost everything is purified by blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
The law of the Lord is perfect, affording refreshment to the soul. The decree of the Lord is worthy of trust, imparting wisdom to the simple.Yahweh’s law is perfect, restoring the soul. Yahweh’s covenant is sure, making wise the simple.

However, the one who looks intently at the perfect law of freedom and perseveres—not forgetting what he has heard but putting it into practice—will be blessed in everything he does. But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
