- I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and they opened books. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. The sea gave up the dead who were in it. Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. They were judged, each one according to his works.
- Don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
- I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
- You shall walk after Yahweh your God, fear him, keep his commandments, and obey his voice. You shall serve him, and cling to him.
- The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh
is wealth, honor, and life. - But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the price of the land? While you kept it, didn’t it remain your own? After it was sold, wasn’t it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You haven’t lied to men, but to God.”
- It shall be to you for a fringe, that you may see it, and remember all Yahweh’s commandments, and do them; and that you don’t follow your own heart and your own eyes, after which you used to play the prostitute.
- Listen, my son, and receive my sayings.
The years of your life will be many. - A gentle tongue is a tree of life,
but deceit in it crushes the spirit. - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
- The ransom of a man’s life is his riches,
but the poor hear no threats. - Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. - But from there you shall seek Yahweh your God, and you will find him when you search after him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- For if we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will also be part of his resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.
- He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”
- Keep your heart with all diligence,
for out of it is the wellspring of life. - Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
- Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of King Herod, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying, “Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him.”
- Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death, and will hand him over to the Gentiles to mock, to scourge, and to crucify; and the third day he will be raised up.
- He is in the way of life who heeds correction,
but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. - For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now and of that which is to come.
- For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
- As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
- Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
- This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.
