- For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

- Death and life are in the power of the tongue:

- He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
- That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
- For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

and to enquire in his temple. - He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
- But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
- And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
- Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
- For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
- That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.
And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.
