- For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness. - By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.
- For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
- He who keeps the commandment keeps his soul,
But he who is careless of his ways will die. - I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. - You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
- Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
- And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
- For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
- And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
- So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
- I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
- I have chosen the way of truth;
Your judgments I have laid before me. - Therefore bear fruits worthy of repentance.
- He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress;
My God, in Him I will trust.” - For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your doings, if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor, if you do not oppress the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and do not shed innocent blood in this place, or walk after other gods to your hurt, then I will cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers forever and ever.
- One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple. - Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.
- For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
- Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.
- But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
- Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.
- Teach me Your way, O Lord;
I will walk in Your truth;
Unite my heart to fear Your name. - For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
“I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”
