- For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
- I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
- But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
- When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.”
- So that with good courage we say,
“The Lord is my helper. I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
- “Yahweh is my portion,” says my soul.
“Therefore I will hope in him.” - But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?
- I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
- My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
- Watch therefore, for you don’t know in what hour your Lord comes.
- Yahweh is my shepherd;
I shall lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters. - My soul, you have said to Yahweh, “You are my Lord.
Apart from you I have no good thing.” - Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
- Yahweh is on my side. I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me? - As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don’t need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
- Not that I speak because of lack, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it.
- I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - But as for me, I will look to Yahweh.
I will wait for the God of my salvation.
My God will hear me. - Yahweh is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
Of whom shall I be afraid? - The fear of Yahweh is to hate evil.
I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth. - In you, Yahweh, I take refuge.
Let me never be disappointed.
Deliver me in your righteousness. - Yahweh is my strength and my shield.
My heart has trusted in him, and I am helped.
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices.
With my song I will thank him. - Yahweh is with you while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
- ‘Return, you backsliding Israel,’ says Yahweh; ‘I will not look in anger on you, for I am merciful,’ says Yahweh. ‘I will not keep anger forever.’
Therefore Yahweh will wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore he will be exalted, that he may have mercy on you, for Yahweh is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for him.Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Christ Jesus.” Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Next verse! With image
