- For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
- Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
- I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.
- “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“Therefore I hope in Him!” - When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.”
- But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.
- The Lord is on my side;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me? - So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear.
What can man do to me?” - Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
- The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters. - Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
- I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
- But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?
- Therefore I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me. - I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. - In You, O Lord, I put my trust;
Let me never be ashamed;
Deliver me in Your righteousness. - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
- The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid? - Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
- The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate. - But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.
- The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.
- O my soul, you have said to the Lord,
“You are my Lord,
My goodness is nothing apart from You.” - The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart greatly rejoices,
And with my song I will praise Him. - My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.
For I am merciful,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not remain angry forever.’Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.Next verse!With image
