Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. | Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” |
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. | And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books. And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and all were judged according to what they had done. |

The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. | The Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. |
Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. | Save us, we beseech you, O Lord! O Lord, we beseech you, give us success! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord. |
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. | So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! |
And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. | And hope does not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. |
And the Lord said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord. | The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, all that he has is in your power; only do not stretch out your hand against him!” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord. |
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. | You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot. |
Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. | By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. |
Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. | Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in all ways. The Lord be with all of you. |
But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. | May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. |
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. | Who are you to pass judgment on servants of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand. |
And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you. | Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ |
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. | Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” |
For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. | For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. |
The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. | May the Lord give strength to his people! May the Lord bless his people with peace! |
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. | I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. |
Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. | Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. |
Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. | Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! |
I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications. Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. | I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my supplications. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. |
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. | Jesus said to him, “If you are able!—All things can be done for the one who believes.” |
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises. | But Jesus has now obtained a more excellent ministry, and to that degree he is the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted through better promises. |
God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? | God is not a human being, that he should lie, or a mortal, that he should change his mind. Has he promised, and will he not do it? Has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? |
And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the Lord our God, as he hath commanded us. | If we diligently observe this entire commandment before the Lord our God, as he has commanded us, we will be in the right. |
And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. | And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. |
