Bible Verses about 'Lose'

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. My son, be attentive to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Let them not escape from your sight; keep them within your heart.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. It does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. Therefore whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in private rooms shall be proclaimed on the housetops.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
