Bible Verses about 'Lose'

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.
He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it.
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it.
Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully.
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul?
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Bible verse of the day

Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice:
let thine ears be attentive
