Loveth (4/4)

  • Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
  • The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.
  • By day the Lord directs his love,
    at night his song is with me—
    a prayer to the God of my life.
  • Not to us, Lord, not to us
    but to your name be the glory,
    because of your love and faithfulness.
  • “And with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
    and, “You reward everyone
    according to what they have done.”
  • For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
  • Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
  • For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
  • But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love.
  • The Lord will vindicate me;
    your love, Lord, endures forever—
    do not abandon the works of your hands.
  • Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’
  • Whoever would foster love covers over an offense,
    but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends.
  • But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.
  • Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
  • This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
  • Surely your goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
    and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
    forever.
  • May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
  • And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
  • May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
  • If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
  • But I will sing of your strength,
    in the morning I will sing of your love;
    for you are my fortress,
    my refuge in times of trouble.
  • Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
  • Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
    for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
    and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
  • Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
  • But I trust in your unfailing love;
    my heart rejoices in your salvation.
    I will sing the Lord’s praise,
    for he has been good to me.

one with self-control than one who takes a city.

The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others.
