He does not retain His anger forever, Because He delights in mercy. | Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. |
| Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. | Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. |
| So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. | “Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish. |
| Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. | God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. |

| Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. | Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me. |
| But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” | He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.” |

| Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. | And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, because it was the day when he rested from all his work of creation. |
| Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. | Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. |
