A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.A man’s pride will bring him low, But the humble in spirit will retain honor.
The Lord makes poor and rich; He humbles, He also exalts.The Lord makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position; but the rich person is to glory in his humiliation, because like flowering grass he will pass away.Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away.

For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will glorify the lowly with salvation.For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
