“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil.
May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands. And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.
You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God.Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything. As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?
