- A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength. - Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin is contrary to the law of God.
- And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
- People with integrity walk safely,
but those who follow crooked paths will be exposed. - Those who control their tongue will have a long life;
opening your mouth can ruin everything. - And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
- Be still in the presence of the Lord,
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes. - But when people keep on sinning, it shows that they belong to the devil, who has been sinning since the beginning. But the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil.
- What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator.
Does a clay pot argue with its maker?
Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying,
‘Stop, you’re doing it wrong!’
Does the pot exclaim,
‘How clumsy can you be?’ - You have given me your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet
to keep them from slipping.
