Bible Verses about 'Man’s'

A man’s pride will bring him low, but lowly souls will rise to honor.A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.
The Lord makes a man’s steps secure when he approves of his conduct. The steps of a man are established by the Lord, And He delights in his way.
A man’s ways may seem right to him, but the Lord weighs the heart.Every person’s way is right in his own eyes, But the Lord examines the hearts.
A man’s attraction is his kindness; it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. What is desirable in a person is his kindness, And it is better to be a poor person than a liar.
The proud man’s heart is not upright, but the righteous man will live because of his faith.Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.
For just as through the disobedience of one man the many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one man the many will be made righteous. For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
A man may plan his own course, but the Lord makes his steps secure. The mind of a person plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.
Just as water reflects one’s face, so does one human heart reflect another. As in water a face reflects the face, So the heart of a person reflects the person.
A gift opens doors for the giver and wins him access to the powerful.A person’s gift makes room for him And brings him before great people.
A wealthy man pays a ransom to save his life; a poor man never has to worry about such threats. The ransom of a person’s life is his wealth, But the poor hears no rebuke.
Many are the plans in a human mind, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will prevail. Many plans are in a person’s heart, But the advice of the Lord will stand.
The wealth of a rich man is his stronghold; he regards it as a high wall that cannot be scaled.A rich person’s wealth is his strong city, And like a high wall in his own imagination.
The words of a wise man win favor, but a fool’s tongue is his undoing.Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
I understand that man’s greatest happiness is to be glad and do well throughout his life. And when we eat and drink and find satisfaction in all our labors, this is a gift of God.I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good in one’s lifetime; moreover, that every person who eats and drinks sees good in all his labor—this is the gift of God.
Blessed are you when people hate you and ostracize you, when they insult you and denounce your name as evil on account of the Son of Man.Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.
Anxiety in the human heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, But a good word makes it glad.
This is the end of my teaching. All has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for that is the responsibility of everyone. The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.
Then I came to realize that all toil and skill in work derive from one person’s envy of another. This also is vanity and a chase after the wind.I have seen that every labor and every skill which is done is the result of rivalry between a person and his neighbor. This too is futility and striving after wind.
After this, he said to the crowd, “Take care to be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Life does not depend upon an abundance of one’s possessions.”But He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions.”
If anyone thinks that he is religious but does not restrain his tongue, he is deceiving himself, and his religion is worthless. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this person’s religion is worthless.
However, the gift is not like the transgression. For if the transgression of one man led to the death of the many, how much greater was the overflowing effect of the grace of God and the gift of the one man Jesus Christ that has abounded for the many. But the gracious gift is not like the offense. For if by the offense of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many.
